About Us

Tournesol Farm is a family farm and homestead in Rockport, Maine, created with the dream of growing good food, caring for animals with compassion, and building a more sustainable way of living.

We believe farming should nourish people, respect nature, and bring community together. With a focus on regenerative practices, thoughtful efforts to reduce waste, and food grown with care, Tournesol is becoming a place where the land, the animals, and the people around us are all part of something meaningful.

Our Story

Our story begins with a deep love for food, family, animals, and the land. Tournesol Farm grew out of a shared dream to create a more grounded and meaningful way of living, one where good food is grown with care, animals are treated with compassion, and the land is respected for what it gives. As a family farm and homestead in Rockport, Maine, Tournesol is being built step by step through hard work, learning, and a commitment to creating something lasting. What started as a vision for a more sustainable life is growing into a place where food, nature, creativity, and community come together in a way that feels honest and deeply connected.

Our Mission

Tournesol Farm LLC is a regenerative family farm and homestead rooted in the belief that farming should care for people, animals, and the land together.

Founded and led by a neurodivergent Latina woman, and shaped by raising a neurodiverse family on the land, the farm brings together thoughtful food production, wetland restoration, and compassionate animal care to create a place that supports wellbeing, encourages learning, and strengthens connection while helping build a more resilient local food system.

Our Vision

Tournesol Farm envisions a living sanctuary where organic agriculture, restored wetlands, and human connection grow together in balance. We want the farm to be a place of safety, care, and respect, where people, animals, and the land are treated thoughtfully, and where birds, pollinators, and wildlife are welcomed as part of a healthy ecosystem.

Our vision also includes welcoming families, visitors, and learners through eco tourism, hands on education, and shared experiences shaped by the rhythms of farm life. Tournesol Farm hopes to provide simple, dignified housing on the land for employees and their families through a reciprocal model where people contribute through work, skills, creativity, and care.

Tournesol Farm aims to be a place where children learn by doing, where people of all abilities are able to participate fully, and where agriculture becomes a path to stability, dignity, and belonging. Over time, we hope to grow into a community model for regenerative and organic farming that is economically resilient, educationally meaningful, humane in practice, and rooted in cooperation between people and the land.
