Our Team

Tournesol Farm is a family-led enterprise where agriculture, systems thinking, and hands-on care work together every day — built on deep experience in food production, operations, and the belief that farming is as much about people as it is about land.

Elizabeth Toussaint-Norton

Founder and Owner. Elizabeth brings lifelong agricultural experience rooted in her family’s farm. She studied Systems Engineering at Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas in Bogotá, Colombia, and completed professional culinary training through Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA). She has worked as a professional cook in the United States, including under James Beard Award–winning chef Melissa Kelly at Primo, and served as a consultant to Bistro La Cave for three years, developing seasonal recipes, managing food costs, and implementing food waste reduction systems linked directly to farm operations.

She began poultry production in 2020 and now manages multi-species livestock, organic crop production, and value-added food systems. She is completing an Associate Degree in Accounting at Central Maine Community College with a 3.85 GPA, applying formal accounting practices to farm financial management and compliance. Elizabeth is openly neurodivergent, including ADHD, which functions as a professional strength in managing complex, multi-system operations.

David Scott Norton

Operations and Systems Advisor. Scott is a nationally recognized consultant through David Norton Consulting, with decades of experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, security, and systems operations across the United States. At Tournesol Farm, he oversees infrastructure planning, automation, construction coordination, and digital retail systems. His veteran background strengthens operational discipline and risk management.

Casper is a Great Pyrenees and the farm’s first line of defense. As a livestock guardian dog, he lives with and protects the flock — monitoring the property, deterring predators, and keeping watch around the clock. His calm, steady presence is a stabilizing force for the animals in his care.

Casper takes his job seriously and never clocks out. He also has strong opinions about gravel piles.
